Sew on the curtain tape without wrinkles

If you have sewn on very wide curtain tape (for example 8cm for long scarves), sometimes it can happen that despite careful insertion, the fabric especially on the right side of the fabric, "waves" and makes the actually very decorative finish only look hideous.

To avoid this, try the following: Stitch the first longitudinal edge as usual, but sew the second in exactly the opposite direction. Thus, the first small irregularities - sometimes due to poor transport of the substance - balanced and the result as intended a real eye-catcher!

Caution: In one of the two sewing directions, you may need to move a lot of fabric mass under the machine. This can be very tedious and cumbersome, if you want to sew very carefully and especially a straight, visible seam exactly parallel to the already existing.

Here is a hint: Before sewing, wind up the fabric very tightly / tightly lengthwise and then push it under the machine as a roll. While the fabric has to be transported, touch the "fabric roll" as a whole with the right hand and support it with ease (this tip is also for quilters ...).

Good luck trying out!
