Tidying up with children
I always help my half-sisters cleaning up and I always say "let's do everything together". That means Barbie is dressed in her dress, every shoe is put on a Barbie and then (as a little break) she becomes the Hair done. Then we put all Barbies in their cars and carriages or just put them on the shelf.
We do the same with the Lego bricks: We use all the Lego bricks and slabs to build a huge Lego House ship or plane and put the males in there. The finished Legohaus is placed in a corner of the room.
The Lego bricks / Lego males / Barbies / Barbie dresses etc. are not in the area around and you can not get on it ... when you're done, you have to clean up (or the child) only a few leftovers.
This tip may be more for mommies who have a lot of time, or babysitters, older siblings, etc. who do not have the typical mum stress because it is very time consuming to sit down with the child for hours and Barbie / Lego too play.
It was fun to wear Barbies again.
