Tips against brittle fingernails

Unfortunately, I often suffer from brittle fingernails. I was looking for a natural solution and also found some good, helpful remedies.

  • For strong nails a raw onion helps very well. Halve an onion in half and cut a small hole into each half, then insert the affected nails and let it work for 10 minutes. Granted, the smell is not for everyone, but the onion juice strengthens the nail. I do this once every two weeks, most of the evening, so that the smell evaporates until the next day.
  • almond oil is especially good for nails. Mix 2 tablespoons of almond oil with 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a bowl, massaging this mixture with a piece of cotton wool on the nails. For an initially good result you should do this once a day before going to sleep. (available here online)
  • Aloe vera strengthens nails very well, to mix 1 tbsp aloe gel with 3 drops of olive oil and wears it with a cotton wool on the nails. (available here online)
  • Very good also helps a bath in pure apple cider vinegar.

These are natural remedies that you usually have at home, they make for better and stronger nails.
