Automatic linen washing machine sluggish?

After my rotary dryer has been around for about 14 years, it was so stiff at the end that my husband had to clamp the rotary dryer, I could not do it in terms of strength anymore.

Actually, the clothes dryer is still in good shape and now I got the following hint:

In the openings of the clothes dryer, where the linen "disappear" with silicone spray (tube attachment to the can!) Spray - only briefly - that worked wonders!

The lines now slide away very quickly when folding back and the opening is easy again. In addition, I cleaned the aluminum tongs with methylated spirits and slightly greased the opening / closing area with Vaseline with petroleum jelly.

I am very excited and hope that with this care my clothes dryer is still doing its service for many years!
