Upcycling: bath mat made of old fleece blanket
For my birthday I got a great new cuddle blanket. The old fleece blanket has become obsolete. She became a bathmat now.
My old fleece blanket is now a cuddly soft bathmat and that was quite easy. I first split the ceiling into two halves on the longer side. From these two halves then about 15? 20 centimeters wide strips are cut off. The dimensions of the strips vary depending on the size of the ceiling. My blanket had the dimensions 170 x 130 centimeters. Accordingly, my stripes were 85 inches long.
With a rubber band, I lashed three strips firmly together at one end and then plaited a braid. Fix it with a rubber band at the end or simply knot the ends together. The plaited braids are then sewn together by hand. Then sew the ends tight, then remove the rubbers or open the knots and cut everything to the same width. You can leave it that way or cut it even further into the Franzen. Done is a thick and very cuddly bath mat for the feet.
