Huhu, here I am again and look what I have brought: a recipe for a doner bag, tried it out and found it good.
From time to time I make the effort to make kebabs myself. Well, actually it is not such a big effort and the result is worth the effort.
ingredients
For the dough
- 500g flour
- 1 pck of dry yeast
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- 3 tbsp oil
- 300 ml of warm water
preparation
- Mix the flour, yeast, salt, sugar, oil in a larger bowl, gradually add the warm water, and continue to work vigorously with the blender's dough hooks until a homogeneous dough has formed.
- Knead again briefly with your hands, cover the bowl with a cloth and then let the dough about 1 hour to go.
- When it has gone up nicely, knead it vigorously with your hands, sprinkle some flour on the worktop, then divide the dough into 6 balls of the same size and roll out every single ball into a pita bread oval.
- Lay out a baking sheet with parchment paper and put the dough ovals on it, put the cloth over it and let it rise for about 30 minutes.
- In the meantime, the oven is heated to about 250 ° C. Upper / lower heat.
- When the dough ovals have risen, bake for 10 minutes. They are done when they bloated and took on a beautiful golden color.
- Well, then cut open and prove to your heart's content.
(I add cocktail sauce, then about 600 g fried chicken breast strips (marinated for several hours in 3 tablespoons gyros spice and oil) then sambal oelek, mixed salad (iceberg lettuce, white cabbage, carrots, etc.), diced tomatoes, snake cucumber, zaziki and onions on top .)
