Bavarian herb (veganised)

That's what you need for the Bavarian herb (vegan):

ingredients

  • 400 g of white cabbage
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable margarine
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 1/4 L vegetable stock
  • Pepper salt
  • 1 tsp caraway
  • 1 tbsp white wine vinegar
  • 1 apple
  • 1 small potato

preparation

Remove from a cabbage the outer leaves, quarter and remove the stalk.

(!) 400 g cabbage correspond to about 1/4 cabbage (!)


Cut the cabbage into thin strips. Peel the onion and chop finely.

In a pot melt the margarine and lightly brown the onion in it.

In the meantime peel the apple, free it from the core and also dice it.


Now add the sugar to the onions and allow to caramelise while stirring. Then add the apple cubes, stir briefly and immediately deglaze with the vegetable stock.

Season with pepper, salt and vinegar and add the caraway and bring to a boil.

(!) If you do not like a whole cumin or do not like to bite it while eating, you can put it in a tea-egg and put it in (!)


Then add the cabbage and cover it for about 30 minutes. Stirring occasionally.

Peel the potato, grate and add to the cabbage. Simmer again over low heat for 10 minutes.

Serve with boiled potatoes - * yammie *.
