Cabbage pudding, hearty and simple
Cabbage pudding is one in northern Germany like.
You need:
1 cabbage
potatoes
Meatsoup
500g minced meat mixed
I take about half a cabbage and about 750 g of potato for 2 people.
Chop cabbage, dice the potato.
Everything in a large pot layers with the minced meat. Then add enough meat stock (cube dissolved in water) until everything is covered.
Bring to a boil and let it all simmer until the broth is gone, stirring now and then, if there is only a little broth left.
If you like, you can add a little Maggi.
Tip: I always get a big cabbage and make cabbage rolls from the big leaves. Since there is usually a lot left over, you can take the rest super for the cabbage pudding. Can you also freeze well in portions.
