Daffodils help to bloom
Now there is again a bunch of daffodils at the florist for just under a euro. After the purchase, it looks like a vase full of chives, a day later you hear crackling when the pellets burst over the flower and a little later the beautiful yellow flower comes out.
That's how it should be - actually. A few days ago, I had obviously sold daffodils that had been left in the boxes for too long without water in the boxes. 1 day, 2 days, nothing happened. I took a close look at the flowers, the cuticle above the flower had dried up.
Well, I thought, I can now destroy anything anyway and did "obstetrics". With the fingernails I snapped off the outer dried-up skin and released the flower. The stems I cut fresh and put them in warm water with copper coin and half a tsp of sugar.
Lo and behold, timidly the flowers dared to come out!
