flour bag

5 eggs
0,5l milk
500g flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
100g melted butter

Separate eggs and beat the egg whites very stiff. Stir egg yolk creamy, add milk and salt. Stir in the flour, then add the melted butter and finally the egg white.

A linen cloth (I take a tea towel) rinse hot and sprinkle some flour. Put the batter on the cloth. Tie the cloth firmly together. Leave a hand's breadth between dough and cap to allow the dough to rise.


Put the flour bag in boiling water.

Cooking time approx. 2 hours

Serve with fruit sauce and boiled pork cheek or boiled bacon.


Recipe is enough for 4 people.

I always put the pork cheek in the linen cloth and put the dough over it.

There is now also a form for the flour bag. I have not tried it though.
