Make carrot chips on the toaster or in the oven

Chips can not only be made from potatoes, carrots have a much more intense taste of their own and on the bread roll top of the toaster one has very quickly produced some. Also by the way during breakfast. The best way to enjoy it right away is to taste it fresh.

Season with a splash of olive oil, if necessary salt and other spices and drink: a wholesome awake in the morning.

Sprinkle the carrot strips (if necessary with olive oil or brush and) on the wire mesh / perforated plate and toast on the bread roll attachment of the toaster.

After every toast, check if the strips have to be turned or taken down. The resulting carrot chips smell very delicious and you have to master not all eat immediately.

If you have a taste and want to make carrot chips in large quantities, you should do it in the oven. The carrot strips in the oven only in a layer next to each other. Then it is worthwhile to marinate the carrot strips beforehand: to brush with olive oil, a little lemon juice, herbs or with oil and spices.

You have to try out the heat and baking time. Best to stay with it. I have in the convection oven at 150 degrees after 10 minutes already the first finished chips. Then I turned off the oven and let the carrots cool down.

Instead of strips, you can also cut the carrot into cogs or obliquely into ovals and then skewer on toothpicks or shashlik skewers (figs. 7 and 8).

The broad stripes provided the fastest and best chips. Should they be crunchy, they still purr clearly together. But it is worth to wait (picture 10).
