Make raspberry leaf tea yourself
Our raspberries have been picked - there was not much this year. Here is a suggestion on how to make an aromatic tea from raspberry leaves:
production:
- You pick the leaves, put them on a tray for wilting, for about 1 day. Then gently crush with a rolling pin. Then they are slightly splashed with water and firmly bound in a cloth.
- These hot temperatures are welcome because now they have to hang and ferment at about 30 degrees for three days in a breezy place, maybe a tree branch. Fermenting leaves the leaves turn black. It is a process that is suitable for raspberry, blackberry and blackcurrant leaves.
- The last step is to take them out of the cloth and spread them out again to dry on a tray. They are dry when the leaves rustle. Then fill in tin cans.
- To make a cup of tea, take the amount that can be grabbed with three fingers.
This tea is reminiscent of black tea with a slightly fruity note.
Before it is canned, it must be really dry so it does not mold.
