Methylated spirits against limescale on fittings
Lime on faucets and faucets can be removed quickly and easily with methylated spirits.
Limescale and water stains on stainless steel fittings can be quickly removed by rubbing the armatures with methylated spirits and polished with a soft cloth, goes very fast and everything shines and sparkles again. (Methylated spirits, by the way, are a cheap all-rounder that I always have in my house, for example for window cleaning or against superficial mold fungus.)
The opening on a faucet is lime-encrusted? No problem - add vinegar to the cotton wool so that it is thoroughly soaked, then wrap the said tap with it, allow it to work for about 1-2 hours and hex, hex the lime is gone.
