New Year's Eve salad (white herring salad)
- 1 chicken, cooked, take only the lean meat
- 4 apples Boskop
- 10 salted herring or matjes
- 20 large jacket potatoes, ready cooked
- 1 glass of pickled cucumbers
- 10 hard-boiled eggs
- 1 glass of capers
- 6 onions
- 1 kg of roast ham lean, roasted
Cut everything into small cubes (the smaller the better the taste).
- 1 glass of mayonnaise
- 2 cups of cream a 200 g
- 1 cup of sour cream instead of sour cream
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 pinch of pepper
- 1 pinch of sugar
- Maggi
- Pickles juice
Mayonnaise, cream and sour cream under the mass.
Season with salt, pepper, sugar, some Maggi and gherkins juice.
If the mass is too firm, fold in some H-milk 3.5%.
Keep the salad cool and let it soak overnight.
