Potato salad according to Muddis Art

One for us is "always-and-belongs-to" - a side dish for grilling. Warning! This salad is not for the figure-conscious, fat-savers, healthy dogs, etc.
It is an old family recipe without new Schischi (is not meant evil) and is prepared at parties / celebrations, in 5-10-fold amount, especially eaten by the men very happy as a barbecue.
preparation
- First of about 1.5 kilos of small potatoes (like triplets) cook boiled potatoes. I add some cumin to the salt water. Peel the potatoes while still hot and allow to cool.
- Boil 5 eggs hard, peel, let cool.
- 9 heaped tablespoons mayonnaise (yes, I sometimes take finished), 3 tablespoons cucumber slices, 1 1/4 teaspoon salt, 3/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper, 1/2 teaspoon nodule powder, 1 pr. Sugar, 1 heaping tablespoon of mustard together.
- Put in 1 finely diced onion. Add 8 - 10 diced cornichons and add.
- Now cut the potatoes into thin slices (-> egg slicer), cut the hard eggs first into slices and then into 1/4 (cut the slices 1x lengthwise and crosswise), all in the bowl.
- Mix well and if possible let it run for at least a few hours and hide from the family (I have to do so here, otherwise my husband "tries" too often).
- If you like, add some diced meat sausage / lioner.
Another variation:
- Leave eggs and dice 3-5 chicken fillets and add to them.
- Or as with meat sausage and then two times ground hare nuts (should be very finely ground) stir under the sauce, about 100 g.
To Matjes variant:
- Add a little more onions and exuberant bacon crumbs, from streaky bacon.
