Salmon with dukkah crust

This recipe was in a promotional leaflet, so I dare to pass it on here.

It is very simple and absolutely delicious.

  1. The salmon schnitzel or fillets are simply sprinkled with dukkah from both sides and the dukkah is pressed firmly.
  2. Then you only need to roast the salmon in oil until it is cooked. Tastes good with mashed potatoes.

The Dukkah (did not find it in the dictionary) comes from Egypt and is a mixture of spices and nuts. It is delicious and I also use it with vegetables.

So, melt some butter in the pan, roast dukkah for a little while and then add vegetables. Tastes good with Brussels sprouts, beans, broccoli.

Since the finished Dukkah mix is quite expensive, I made it myself today. My kitchen still smells like an oriental spice market.

There are some recipes for it on the net. I like to write you one, if I have aroused your curiosity!
