Sponge cake with applesauce

Recipe: Quick sponge cake with applesauce. A delicious cake that is prepared quickly!

ingredients

150 g of butter or margarine, 150 g of sugar, 1 packet of vanilla sugar, 1 pinch of salt, 2 eggs, 1 lemon flavor, some grated lemon peel, 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder, 3 tbsp rum, 400 g spelled flour, 1 pe. Baking powder, 200 g applesauce, 100 g chopped hazelnuts or almonds, 200 g raisins

preparation

First preheat the oven to 180 ° C (circulating air: 160 ° C). Stir frothy butter or margarine with the hand mixer, gradually add the sugar and vanilla sugar and stir until a smooth mass is obtained. Then gradually stir in the eggs, salt, lemon zest, flavor, cinnamon and rum and stir well. Add the sifted flour mixed with the baking powder in portions and, when all is mixed in, finally fold in the applesauce with the ground hazelnuts and raisins. Put the dough in a greased, crumbly box, smooth the surface and put it in the oven!

Baking time:

about 50 minutes. Then let the cake cool down in the mold for about 10 minutes, then remove it and allow it to cool further.

Tip: cake can be dusted with powdered sugar at will or covered with lemon or chocolate icing.
