Strawberry jam Christmas improvised
In the pantry, I found a package of jam sugar with expiration date - ups, this month. And in the freezer, a few strawberries that are already too cold and sad for a long time. So we'll do it!
No, of course not in the bin, but off in the pot, is still good. Simple strawberry jam was too boring for me, so I looked around, what's all there and maybe a little Christmassy.
I found a lot ... more or less Christmassy: apples, bananas, chopped almonds, bitter almond flavor, vanilla sugar, vanilla flavor and finally cinnamon.
So everything in the pot ... except the cinnamon (did not trust me), and diligently stirred and cooked.
But oh, the jelly sugar is not enough, was only for a kilo of fruit, and that has already been exceeded by 2 bananas and an apple? Go again and buy again? Also stupid!
So I just added two sachets of red icing and what can I tell you? Has worked perfectly and has become really delicious!
With us today for dinner there was "wholemeal bread with turnip tops and Christmas strawberry jam", the Kommetar my children: "tastes better than bought!" and "please more".
So, just dare, and maybe someone of you will combine the strawberries with cinnamon? Says then also checks if it tastes good.
