Thaw frozen hygienically

Frozen meat should always be thawed covered in the refrigerator. Depending on the type of meat it bleeds heavily, then lies in this liquid until it is used further and is not safe from a hygienic point of view as well as unappetizing.

I cut out a few pieces (cutter knife) from a dish drainer to be disposed of and cut them to fit a special freezer that I use exclusively for thawing.

The advantage: The thawing material lies on the sieve and is no longer associated with the defrosting liquid.

I assume that baskets are food safe and even if it should not be so, I prefer it, rather than the frozen food is in their own juice.
