Tarte,? Apple pie? or apple pie, with a little trick the cake looks much nicer. It does not matter whether the main dough is a short crust pastry like the French tart or a puff pastry like the American apple pie? is used.

The only important thing in this trick for the apple pie is that the dough is firm enough to roll it out. For the? Apple pie? In the picture I used three rolls of puff pastry from the supermarket. I baked the whole thing in a casserole dish. For larger shapes I take four rolls of puff pastry and correspondingly more apples for the filling. But you can also use short crust pastry. If a recipe is made with a shortcrust pastry base, without dough on top, then I take double the amount of dough to make the decorative cover plate from the half of the dough.

ingredients

  • 3-4 rolls of puff pastry (depending on the size of the shape)
  • 50 g of melted butter
  • 100 g of sugar
  • 4 teaspoons cinnamon

Filling:

  • 6-8 sour-tasting apples
  • 50 g of sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • Cup from a bio lemon
  • Juice of half a lemon

preparation

The puff pastry is rolled off and the plates are spread with melted butter. Mix 100 g of sugar with four teaspoons of cinnamon and sprinkle on the plates. Then, as with a cinnamon bun dough, roll up the dough again and cut into slices about one centimeter wide. These snails are placed close together on baking paper, so that they fill the shape of the size. Then place a second piece of baking paper over it and roll it out with the rolling pin. Two such layers are needed, one as the bottom and one as the cover plate.

Next peel the apples, cut into pieces, mix with lemon zest and juice, sugar, vanilla sugar and cinnamon. Distribute the filling on the bottom plate in the mold and lay the second cover plate over the folded screws and press on the edges. Bake the cake in the preheated oven at 160 ° C convection for about 40 minutes.
