Bake chocolate rolls
Time
Total preparation time: 1 hr. 15 min.
Chocolate rolls as from the bakery, easy to prepare and totally delicious!
ingredients
- 500g flour
- 1 pck of dry yeast
- 75 g of sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 50 g of liquid butter
- 250 ml of milk
- 200 g whole milk or dark chocolate (Personally, I find whole milk better)
- Mix 1 egg yolk with 2 tablespoons milk or just milk to coat
preparation
- In a potty warm the butter until it is liquid, then let it cool slightly.
- In the meantime mix the flour with the dried yeast, fold in the sugar, salt and 1 egg.
- Add the liquid, cooled butter to the flour mass and briefly heat the milk in the butter pots.
- Then gradually add the milk and knead everything to a smooth dough.
- In the meantime chop the chocolate (goes the cheap from the discounter) and carefully lift it under the dough.
- You can also take the finished Schokotröpfchen, then you save the work of Hackens and the rolls may look a bit more uniform from the inside.
- I've already tried 200 g of couverture, but personally I did not like it so much, the couverture is really hard to chop and the pieces are sometimes too big.
- Cover the bowl well and let it go, then form 10 rolls, place it on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, cover with a cloth and let it rise again for about 15 minutes, you do not necessarily have to. But I think they are better, because they make it even bigger and more beautiful.
- In the meantime preheat the oven to 180 ° top and bottom heat, coat the surface of the rolls with milk or with 1 egg yolk whisked with 2 tablespoons of milk, and off in the oven.
- Bake on a medium rack for 25 minutes.
The result is really fantastic, the chocolate rolls are an absolute delight.
I hope you will be as excited as me!
