Blood orange cake

Blood orange cake is something light, fruity, which is (pretty) fast. Pure preparation time: approx. 20 minutes + cooling time.

1 biscuit bottom (28 cm)

For covering:
12 sheets of gelatine
250 ml blood orange drink
500 g of low-fat quark
150 g of sugar
250 ml multivitamin buttermilk
250 g of whipped cream


For the casting:
150 ml blood orange drink
100 m red grenadine syrup
1 packet of red cake

1.) Put the biscuit bottom on a cake plate and put a matching cake ring around it. Dissolve the gelatin according to the instructions in the blood orange drink.

2.) Whisk the quark, sugar, and multi-buttermilk in a bowl with the whisk. Dissolve dissolved gelatine with constant stirring. Whip the cream until it starts to gel (solidify).


3.) Fill the mass on the cake bottom and put in the fridge for about 3 hours.

4.) Using the BlutorangenDrink and the Greandinesirup, follow the instructions on the packaging to make the cake and cover the cake with it. Then cool again for 30 minutes.

If you like, you can spread chopped pistachios on the outer edge of the cake.
