Braised cabbage prepared with minced meat in a pressure cooker

Time

Preparation time: 20 min.
Cooking or baking time: 10 min.
Total preparation time: 30 min.

Today my new Fissler pressure cooker was used again. There was super delicious stew with cabbage and boiled potatoes.

ingredients

  • 1 small head of white cabbage
  • 500 g mixed hack
  • 1 bunch of spring onions
  • 1 big onion
  • 3 toes of garlic
  • Salt pepper
  • a good pinch of caraway (I take ground)
  • 1 tb herbs of Provence
  • 1 tsp beet syrup

preparation

  1. First, I fry the hamburger with onions and garlic in the pressure cooker until it has taken neat color.
  2. Now comes the chopped cabbage with the leeks and all the spices mentioned above. At maximum heat, swing through everything for about a minute. Fill up with water or broth, about half a liter, depending on the quantity. Now close the pressure cooker and set the highest heat setting.
  3. It goes very fast, until the desired cooking level is reached, indicated by a green ring in the lid head. From now on, the cooking time is five minutes in my case.
  4. After evaporating, through a switch on the lid handle, I have opened the pot and done in the finished Schmorkohl still fresh herbs.
  5. As a side dish there were boiled potatoes, cooked with a sprig of rosemary.

Info:

Actually, I wanted to cook the potatoes together with the stewed cabbage in the steamer, but the stand, whereupon the steamer basket is placed in the pot, is far too low, because the potatoes would have hung partly in the steak cabbage and I did not want that. That would be a small criticism of the pot. In general, I like the short cooking time again and the pot gets hot very fast.
