Coffee maker broken? Often only a repair of 50 cents

Often it happens that you turn on the coffee machine in the morning and nothing at all happens, except that the red light in the switch lights up.

In most cases, "only" the temperature fuse is blown. This is a fuse that prevents the burning of the heating coil and a fire of the machine.

For the professionals: The fuse looks like an ordinary coal or metal layer resistor, 20mW in size.

Bring the machine privately to an electrician / electrician, who certainly has the right measuring devices at home to be able to measure the fuse.

Such a backup costs in the retailer no 50 cents. But it must be squeezed, because at high temperatures can also melt the solder.
