Crochet finger puppet
Some time ago I crocheted these 3 finger puppets for my godchild. If you have some basic skills in crocheting, it is done quickly and hopefully brings a radiance to the face of the gifted child :)
First, a basic framework is crocheted, which can then be easily adapted to a particular animal.
What you need
- Wool in the desired color (I had the Poco wool from Junghans-Wolle)
- Needle for sewing the threads
- Cotton (mine was from the drugstore)
backbone
head
- 1st round 6 stitches to form a magic ring (6M)
- 2nd round every fM double (12M)
- Double round every 2nd fM (18M)
- 4th round every 3rd fM double (24M)
- 5th round every 4th fM double (30M)
- 6-10th Crochet round 5 rounds without increase (30M)
- Round 11 crochet every 4th and 5th sc (24M)
- Crochet round every 3rd and 4th dc round (18M)
- Crochet round every 2nd and 3rd sc (12M)
- Crochet round every 1st and 2nd sc (6M)
Sometime between the 11th and 14th round, fill the ball of cotton wool / stuffing. Finally, close the stitches with needle and thread and sew the thread well.
body
Close about 17 stitches to a ring and crochet with round sts until the desired length is reached. Adjust the number of meshes to the circumference of the finger. Possibly. Crochet the last round in a contrasting color.
Elephant:
Proboscis: wool in the colors white and blue / gray
- Head as described above, BUT from round 14:

- Round 27 (white) Crochet every 1st and 2nd sc (6M)
Ears (2 pieces)
- 1st round (white) Close 5 stitches into a magic ring, 1 round and turn
- 2nd round (white) dc, 3 dc, 1 dc, 1 dc and turn
- 3rd round (white) 2fM, 1 row, 1 dc, 1 row, 2fm, 1 row, 1 dc and turn

- 5th round (blue) 4fM, 1 Zun, 1fM, 1 Zun, 1fM, 1 Zun, 1fM, 1 Zun, 3fM, Zun, 1 Lfm and turn
Complete and leave thread for sewing. Finally sew the ears to the head and sew on / embroider eyes.
Frog:
Eyes (2 pieces): wool in the colors green and white
- 1st round (green) Close 6 stitches to a magic ring (6M)
- 2nd round (green) every fM double (12M)
- 3rd 4th Round (white) 2 rounds without increase (12M)
- Round 5 (white) crochet every 1st and 2nd sc (6M)
Finally, leave sewing thread for sewing. At the end I sewed / sewn the black pupils on it. Maybe there is also a more elegant solution: D
Lion:
Ears (2 pieces)
- Round 1 Turn 6 stitches into a magic ring
- 2nd round 1 round without increase
lion's mane
