Cucumber salad in glass

I've tried something new for myself and am quite pleased! A delicious cucumber salad from the glass - shelf life of up to 2 months in the refrigerator.

ingredients

  • 3-4 snake cucumbers
  • 1 big green pepper
  • 1 big (red) onion
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 500 ml white vinegar
  • 500 - 600 g of sugar
  • 1-2 teaspoons of celery granules or powder
  • 1-2 teaspoon paprika powder (red / sweet)

Step 1: Prepare vegetables

  • Wash cucumbers very well and slice into thin slices.
  • Cut the onion into very fine strips.
  • Wash the peppers, clean and cut into bite-sized strips.
  • Mix the vegetables together in a bowl.

Step 2: Make the brew

Put vinegar, sugar, celery powder and paprika in a saucepan and heat. Stir well again and again so that the sugar dissolves well and does not burn into the pot.

Step 3: Prepare glasses

Give vegetables mixture into 2 larger preserving jars, you can make them good and push everything down a bit, or squeeze together - after all, a whole lot together.


Add the vegetable mixture into 2 larger preserving jars and serve well.

Step 4: Completion of the salad

Put in the hot, finished brew 1-2 handfuls of ice cubes, when they are completely melted, pour it over the vegetables prepared in the glasses, close the jars firmly and can place them already in the refrigerator.
