Egg cartons as a plant cultivation container

Now comes the time, as you begin to pre-germinate herbs and vegetables and flowers for the garden and prefer.

For that I use egg cartons. I cut off the lid, fill it with cotton or earth and pull it in, for example. Cress.

In the eggbox, I fill the individual chambers with potting soil, put in the appropriate seeds, water the seeds, put a few halved kebab skewers in the 4 corners and place everything in a semi-transparent (milky) garbage bag and then in a bright, warm place. (For me mostly the bathroom)!

I have no mess and equal the greenhouse effect. When the seeds have germinated and the weather is good for planting out, I separate the individual egg carton compartments and plant the seedling WITH the cardboard.

Saves a lot of money! (Seed pots are expensive)
