Freeze fresh yeast

About 30 years ago, we came up with the idea to bake our own bread. Pretty soon, I was tired of buying the yeast fresh each time. Somewhere I read that yeast is one of the oldest creatures and has survived several ice ages. So just try it and put a yeast cube in the freezer. Behold, it works!

I then thaw the frozen cubes in the water needed for the bread. The paper is easily released when the cube is dipped briefly in the water. Or in lukewarm milk, if this is provided in the recipe. Yeast is always bought from me in the wholesale stock and frozen.
