fruity noodle salad

ingredients

  • 500 g spiral noodles (eg Fusilli)
  • 1 large glass of Miracle Whip
  • 1 small tin of pineapple pieces
  • 1 small tin of peas
  • 1 small tin of mushrooms (regardless of whether 1st, 2nd or 3rd choice)
  • 1 small tin of vegetable corn (only who likes)
  • 1 pepper (like red as a splash of color)
  • Salt pepper (for cooking water and to taste)
  • 1 large bowl
  • 1 wooden spoon

preparation

  • Cook pasta noodles in plenty of salted water. Stir occasionally so they do not interfere.
    • The noodles should be cooked, but not soggy. In no case al dente, because the 'bite' should give the vegetables, not the pasta. Ideal are 11-12 minutes cooking time.
    • Oil is superfluous and pure waste, because it floats only on the surface around and comes with the noodles not in touch. Who has taken care in physics / chemistry knows that.;)
  • After the cooking time pour off in a strainer and briefly quench cold, so they do not continue to cook. Then cool in a large bowl, at least at room temperature.
    • Pasta should not take more than 2/3 of the bowl, so that not half over the mixing
  • Cut off a lid in the top of the pepper and hollow well, so that no grains remain inside (if necessary, rinse with cold water).
  • Then cut the peppers into small strips or pieces.
  • Open the cans and drain the contents well
    • (Catch pineapple juice in a glass and keep cold).
  • Now the chopped peppers, the mushrooms, the peas, the corn (if desired) and add the pineapple pieces to the noodles.
    • If you want to have the pasta salad with meat, you can now cut and add meat sausage or cooked ham strips.
  • Short, but mix thoroughly.
  • Now add the spoonful of Miracle Whip to the salad mass until it is sufficiently distributed in the salad and everything is evenly distributed.
  • Only now the pasta salad with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Make the salad bowl cold (if possible, in the fridge) and let it pass for at least one hour.

3 tips

  1. Apart from the Miracle Whip, cheap discount store ingredients are totally sufficient, it really does not have to be expensive branded goods.
  2. If the pasta salad is not eaten on the same day, please cover with foil or a lid (who has a suitable) and store in the refrigerator. In the case that the pasta salad should be a bit dry the next day, you can add something to the collected pineapple juice.
  3. If you like, you can of course use the Miracle Whip in any quantity. It should, however, only be a flavor and moisture carrier for the pasta-salad mixture - and not drown the salad, as many salads you can buy.
