Schlemmerschnitzel à la Sandra

ingredients for 4 persons

  • 4 turkey schnitzel
  • 150 g cooked ham
  • 1 small tin of mushrooms
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cups whipped cream
  • 1/2 - 1 cup of water
  • Grated 150 g Emmentaler
  • Salt, pepper, garlic, paprika powder

preparation

  1. Cut turkey schnitzel into 2-3 small pieces. Sauté in oil from both sides and season with salt, pepper, garlic (fresh or granulated) and paprika. Then put in a casserole dish.
  2. Cut the onion, mushrooms and ham into small pieces and sauté everything in the same pan (no further oil needed).
  3. When these ingredients are garnished for about 10 minutes, pour in the cream and water. Season with salt, pepper and paprika. If the sauce is too thin, simply dust with some flour and bring to a boil (stir vigorously with the whisk, otherwise it will clump). Put this sauce over the pieces and sprinkle with cheese.
  4. Then in the oven at about 200 degrees, about 20 minutes (until the cheese is melted and a little browned).

To taste croquettes, chips, rice or white bread.

extra tip

This dish is great to prepare the day before (without cheese). Simply place in the fridge and sprinkle with cheese if necessary and then add a little longer, but less heat in the oven.
