Grandmother's carrot jam

Have found a recipe of my grandmother: carrot jam.
ingredients
- 1 kg of carrots
- 1 L of water
- 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
- a little lemon peel (untreated)
- 250 g of sugar
preparation
- Scrape carrots and wash. Boil the lemon peel in water until soft, pass through a colander or spin through the mincer.
- Put the sugar in a saucepan and cook for 20 to 30 minutes. Finally, add the lemon juice.
- Put half a tsp of the jam on a dry cold plate. If no liquid settles and the mass drags a pellicle, the jam is sufficiently boiled.
- Fill in mason jars.
