Hack red cabbage and potato dish

When it gets cold outside, something substantial has to be put on the table or in the casserole dish. Here is my tip for a delicious casserole:

For my hamburger, red cabbage and potato casserole you need:

Approximately 800-1000 g mixed hack
3 large glasses of red cabbage? The original? from Kühne
Approximately 1.5 kg potatoes (hard-boiling)
3-4 shallots
2 big toes garlic
2 cups of Schmand a 200 g
2 cups of cream (can also be replaced by Cremefine light)
1 tbsp. Flour type 405
Grated cheese to sprinkle (can also be replaced by a light version)
Chili seasoning
Paprika (rose paprika)
Ground pepper
salt

How do you do that? Very easily:

First, the potatoes are put on as boiled potatoes and even cooked? depending on the potato size around the 25-35 minutes (please adjust the egg timer only when the water is boiling)

The red cabbage is heated in a large pot, possibly refined with a small cut apple and cumin spice? depending on your taste. The red cabbage now simmering on a low flame, so about 25 minutes! Stir several times!


In the meantime, the shallots and garlic cloves are cut into small pieces. The hack is sautéed in a pan and seasoned with the chilli pepper, paprika and ground pepper and salt? Spice it up vigorously here! Now come the small cut shallots and the garlic cloves? cook for about 10 minutes on a low heat until the hack is crispy and no watery residue is left in the pan! Heat the pan in the oven at about 50 degrees.

Drain the jacket potatoes, peel and allow to cool briefly, so that you can slice them well.

In the meantime, the sour cream is mixed with the cream (or creamfine). After about 1 minute, the EL flour is added? here can be varied and also a second EL to come, if you like the casserole a little firmer! Strong taste with chilli pepper, paprika and salt and pepper.


A large casserole dish is now greased with a little butter. Remove the hack from the oven and preheat the oven to 180 degrees!

Slice the potatoes, stir the red cabbage again, remove from the flame and pour the excess red cabbage juice out of the pot. Important! Set aside.

Now layer into the casserole dish as follows: always a layer covering the shape:

? Red cabbage
? potato slices
? Hack
? Red cabbage
? potato slices
? Hack

until everything is consumed? Make sure that the hack is completed!

Now, the sour cream / cream / flour mixture is poured over the layered and spread over the cheeses covering the entire area.

The casserole dish comes in the preheated oven at 180 degrees, top and bottom heat, middle slot height. After about 25 minutes, please cover with some aluminum foil or baking paper the mashed cheese so that it does not burn. Leave the casserole in the oven for another 15 minutes. After the 40 minutes have elapsed, remove the aluminum foil / baking paper and put on top heat for about 3 minutes so that the cheese has a brownish tint (Caution: can burn quickly - always look at it).

Now take the casserole dish out of the oven and serve it hot! Finished? Finished. As simple as that.
