Hasselbackspotatis are a delicious accompaniment to fish or meat dishes, prepared according to an old Swedish recipe:

ingredients

  • 12 medium-sized, elongated potatoes (1.2 kg)
  • 80 g of butter
  • salt
  • 2 tablespoons of Parmesan
  • Butter for greasing

preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
  2. In the meantime, peel the potatoes, wash them and pat dry, then cut into slices about 1/2 cm thick, but so that they still hang together below. It's best to put them on a tablespoon, then it does not happen that you accidentally cut them.
  3. Now grease a corresponding casserole dish with butter and put the potatoes close together with the contiguous side down; put salt and butterflakes on top.
  4. Place the casserole in the oven on the middle rail. After 20 minutes baking time, brush the potatoes off and on with the butter that has run down.
  5. 5 minutes before the end of the cooking time, sprinkle the Parmesan cheese over the potatoes and bake to a crispy golden brown.
