Heartily filled lucky pigs

Time

Total preparation time: 40 min.

Guinea pigs to eat - lucky pig made from quark oil dough, stuffed with pork chops and diced Gouda.

ingredients

For the quark oil dough:

  • 500g flour
  • 250 g of low-fat quark
  • 4 tablespoons of milk
  • 1/8 l of oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pck of baking soda

For the filling:

  • 500 g pork chopped (seasoned)
  • 150 g Gouda (small diced)

Preparation:

Knead all the ingredients of the quark oil dough in a bowl. There must be a dough, like the yeast dough.

Then roll 1/2 cm thick on a board or similar.

Cut out 20 circles of 8 cm diameter and 10 circles of 4 cm diameter.

From the rest of the dough, form a pig's egg.

Completion:

  1. On 10 larger (10 cm) circles, spread the chopped gouda mix while leaving a small margin, sprinkle the rim with egg yolk.
  2. Cover with the remaining larger circles, press on edges.
  3. From the small circles form whiskers with nostrils.
  4. Brush the whiskers and ears with egg yolk and place on the large circles and press on.
  5. Use peppercorns as eyes.
  6. Brush again with egg yolk and bake at 200 degrees for about 20 minutes in the oven.

A tip from me:

Take instead of egg yolk but egg milk (whisk egg with some whole milk)
