Holiday finds as a small piece of art
We were at the Ostee and I was once again looking for hole stones and driftwood. From these holiday finds, a small piece of art was created.
For the processing I needed:
- Finds (driftwood, perforated stones, shells, snails)
- a cordless screwdriver with a small drill
- a scissors
- thread
I did it that way:
- I pierced the longest branch in the "three-finger distance" several times in one direction.
- Through the first and the last hole I threaded a long piece of thread, so that this longer thread can be used for hanging.
- From below I attach a perforated stone to the respective ends and knot them firmly. Then I took a long piece of twine again and pulled it through two holes, so that the ends hang out at the bottom.
- On the open ends I threaded (previously pierced) shells or snail shells and perforated stones, which I knotted each time. If I just wanted to use a hole, I knotted the thread directly on the "top".
- This structure, which came out with me, has no balance or it is not balanced. But as it hangs on the wall, I just grab it in between. There are certainly good hobbyists here who can do it, so that it can hang freely as a mobile.
- The big hole stones I hang as chains in the garden, pulled on the thread and knotted to it. These are "chicken gods".
