Hello, I baked the following recipe every year with my grown-up kids when they were little and all still living at home. Delicious!

ingredients

  • 250 g wheat flour
  • 1 coated tsp baking powder
  • 100 g of sugar
  • 1 packet of vanillin sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 150 g of margarine or butter cut into pieces
  • some protein
  • about 50 g of chopped or ground almonds
  • some red jam and raspberry jam, red jelly o.

preparation

  1. Make a kneading dough from the ingredients above. If the dough sticks, keep it covered with plastic wrap for a while.
  2. From the dough with floured hands, form small walnut-sized balls. Or, with floured hands, make three-four rolls with a diameter of approx. 2 cm, cut them into pieces approx. 1 - 2 cm wide and form into balls.
  3. Dip each ball with the upper side first in egg whites, then squeeze into the chopped (or ground) almonds and place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Using a spoon handle, press a well into each ball and fill it with some jam with the help of two teaspoons. It is best to take a wooden spoon.
  4. Do not place the balls too close to the baking sheet because they will get bigger when baking.

Baking time: About 15 minutes

Setting: 175 - 200 ° C (preheated)
