No ticks in the Christmas tree

Since 2 years ago one of these arachnids (ticks) surprised me when decorating my Christmas tree, a little tip:

I buy my tree about 14 days before putting up and decorating in the living room. I put him in a bucket of water in the basement. At temperatures of less than eight degrees they fall into winter stare.

Due to the relatively mild weather, ticks could therefore sit in the lower branches of the Christmas trees. And at the latest, when the fir in the living room becomes a Christmas tree, possible ticks become active and lurking for prey.

Before my tree then comes up, it is again vigorously puffed up and shaken so that the animals fall off.

Have fun decorating and decorating your Christmas tree!
