Plastic bottle as an irrigation aid

A great irrigation aid: cut off the bottom of a plastic bottle and place it diagonally upside down in the soil (root area).

The planting time in the garden is approaching. When planting vegetables, which later needs a relatively large amount of water (eg zucchini, tomatoes, cucumbers), I put a 1.5 liter PET bottle (turned over, ground cut off) halfway into the ground, for the same purpose Showing root area.

So later, the water does not run elsewhere when pouring and it is watered more slowly and purposefully.

If the water in the bottle runs too fast, throw in a few pebbles. Even in balcony boxes, you can use small 0.5 liter disposable plastic bottles turned upside down as a pouring aid, so that the water does not flow over the edge. This happens easily when the soil is dry.
