Protection from birds

In the spring pigeons were always in our garden and ate off the leaves of the young kohlrabi plants. A neighbor gave us the tip to use barrier tape as a defense. We struck poles in the bedspreads and loosely put the tape on it so that it could flutter - and lo and behold - our plants were spared.

Later it was other birds that tasted the strawberries. So we also strapped the bands over these beds, and that helped as well.

Now we also decorated the sweet cherry tree with the ribbons, it looked very funny, but it helped, the birds avoided the tree.

We would not have expected this success.
