Remove musty odor from old suitcase
For many, collecting flea market treasures has become a favorite Sunday hobby.
For some things, it is difficult to cleanse them and free them from the odors of decades.
Old leather cases e.g. Look beautiful - I like the very small ones for storage and stacking. Only after opening they sometimes smell of basement and things that you'd better not identify exactly.
Everyone knows the baking powder effect - maybe it is new to do the baking powder in a sock and tie it up. Renew daily for one week. After that, the baking powder - without sock - can still be taken very well for fragrant faucets and drains.
There is one more trick: damp, crumpled newspaper.
You take a double page and moisten it - it should not be wet. Then it is crumpled up and put on a plastic bag in the suitcase, which is then closed. The newsprint absorbs odors. This procedure is repeated for a week, always with fresh newspapers.
Then the cellar perfume has no chance - the case smells neutral.
