Rhubarb chutney with onion and apple

The cheese plate is a very tasty side dish is a chutney of rhubarb with raisins, onion and apple.
Rhubarb is often used as a topping for a cake, but is actually a vegetable from the family of the Knöterichgewächse.
You can quickly and easily prepare a delicious chutney from it.
ingredients
- 500 g rhubarb, especially the red sticks taste good
- 1 fat apple
- 1 big onion
- 150 g brown sugar
- 1/8 L of fruit vinegar
- 3 tablespoons raisins
- 1 teaspoon salt, fresh pepper
- 1 tsp of mustard seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
preparation
- The rhubarb is peeled or the long threads removed and cut into pieces.
- Likewise the apple and the onion.
- The fruit vinegar is boiled up with the sugar and the spices. Then add rhubarb, apple, onion and raisins.
- This is stirred for about 20 minutes, until you get a kind of jam. If the chutney is not strong enough, simmer for a few more minutes.
- Hot fill in screw jars. In the fridge, the chutney lasts for at least three weeks.
Delicious with cheese, especially the orange cheddar.
