Find sock pairs after washing
In almost every household, the same topic regularly comes up again and again: how does it happen again and again that pairs of socks do not want to stay together after washing, and above all what can be done about it?
Are there any proven and good tips against it? Can you save time, strength and, above all, nerves? The answer is yes, there are some tips, some good and proven have been collected here:
First tip:
You buy several pairs of totally identical socks. For example, 10 pairs of black socks. It saves money in several ways: money, because if a sock is broken or swallowed by the washing machine, you do not have to throw away both socks. The remaining sock can be removed if another sock gives up the ghost. You save time, because you do not have to look for the partner for a long time after washing, because all are the same.
Second tip:
A handy thing is to get yourself a specially designed plastic ring with an opening (for example, Sok Lok, but also available from other companies). As an alternative, you can also take a smaller Wäschesäckchen, which works great too.
The socks are pulled immediately after wearing through the ring or put in the personal bag. Each person in the household has his own ring color or just his own laundry bag and so come the socks with ring or bag in the washing machine, the dryer or on the clothesline, then back in the closet. Nothing is lost, there is no more confusion and everyone gets his pairs of socks again.
Third tip:
Or put the pair of socks together after wearing, at the very top of the edge, as if you wanted to put together a pair of socks, but only on the cuffs. Then so in the washing machine, wash and then dry again to take apart.
Fourth tip:
Another idea would be to put a small leash over the washing machine or just close by to hang up the individual socks that do not have a partner. After a while, you can bring many couples together again. Of course, you can also collect the individual socks in a Netzt or similar, but on a leash, you have everything pretty clear. Alternatively, also a laundry hanger.
