Fast bread with rye flour

This is a very simple and fast recipe, which only requires five ingredients.

  • ½ cube of yeast
  • 150 ml of lukewarm water
  • 250 g rye flour (Type 1150)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp soft butter

preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 225 degrees top / bottom heat.
  2. First dissolve the yeast in lukewarm water and place in a mixing bowl.
  3. Now add the flour, 1 teaspoon salt and the soft butter and knead the whole until the dough comes off the edge of the bowl.
  4. From the dough you form 6 to 8 rolls, place them on a baking paper or baking foil and leave them covered in a warm place for about 30 minutes.
  5. Then brush the surface of the rolls with oil and cut them with a knife.
  6. They are baked for 20 to 25 minutes on the middle rail in the preheated oven.

Tips:

You can also add a few sunflower and / or pumpkin seeds to the dough or sprinkle the rolls with it, or you can only use 200 g of rye flour and 50 g of wheat flour, then they will not be that dark!
