The Saarland pan from Saarland is one of our regional specialties, which is eaten again and again. A hearty but also very tasty dish.
ingredients
- 1.5 kg of firming potatoes
- 1 ring Lyoner (meat sausage) about 500-600 g
- 100 g smoked bacon
- 1 stick of leek
- 2 onions
- Oil for frying
- pepper and salt
preparation
- The potatoes are cooked with the shell and then barked, then evaporate well and allow to cool. I like doing it the day before and I did not give the time for that.
- Cut the cooled potatoes into thin slices.
- Dice the bacon and onions, clean the leeks, wash thoroughly, dry well and cut into strips.
- Peel the Lyons, split lengthwise in the middle and cut into bite-sized slices.
- For the preparation I use the roasting pan with this quantity.
- First, I fry the streaky bacon in sufficient oil, then add the Lyoner and shortly thereafter the potatoes. Then I let it all take some color and also add the leek and the onions.
- Salt and pepper neatly and let it brown a bit (basically like fried potatoes).
Nice serve and serve.
As a side dish salad is recommended.
I hope that maybe one or the other also likes our rustic kitchen, and wish you good appetite
