For me the sage grows in the garden like weeds - so you can master him in a delicious way - simply fry sage.

  1. Pluck sage leaves from the stems.
  2. Let oil in the pan / fryer get hot.
  3. Bake sage leaves in oil. They should be crispy, slightly transparent, but not brown - I would probably expect 1-2 minutes.
  4. If possible drain, salt, then serve immediately.

Delicious with fried potatoes or mashed potatoes, creamy vegetable soup, etc.

By baking, the leaves have become crispy like chips.

The sage taste is not too penetrating, so you can count on a handful of leaves per person.
