Save wet leather gloves

I had to shovel snow for an hour yesterday, and of course had no better idea than to wear my sinfully expensive handcrafted leather gloves. After that, they were completely wet and I noticed that they started to "shrivel up" so weird when drying. I noticed that I had already seen this with the (same) gloves of my mother and these were never as nice after drying as before. That's when the idea came to me:

I have "stuffed" the individual fingers with stabilo pens (explicit note: use all pens of this type, no matter which brand) to maintain the beautiful, "non-shrunken" shape of the gloves. Then put a towel on the heater and gloves on it (my heater is very hot, wanted to be careful).

In between, I've put on and "moved" them over and over again to avoid getting stiffened. Now they are dry and look like before. Luck!

Maybe that helps someone who has a plastic hand to set up jewelry, could try it too. Only with all methods please take care that the possibly expensive lining does not break.
