Silesian Kingdom of Heaven
For all those who want to combine hearty with "sweet"!
"Those who do not know the kingdom of heaven have lived in vain", say the Silesians :)
So we give our life a sense and let's go!
For 4 servings
- 600 g of pork (smoked, such as pork belly or smoked pork)
- 400 g of mixed baking fruit
- 400 ml of water (for soaking)
- 1 piece of sauce gingerbread (to be found in the shop with the sauce packet, backerbsen ....)
- 1 lemon untreated
- 1 small piece of cinnamon stick
- 1 pinch of sugar
- (some potato dumplings, ready or according to your own recipe)
Continue with the preparation
- Soak the fruit in water the day before.
- The next day, wash the lemon and cut off some peel, boil together with the baking fruit with the soaking water, the sugar and the cinnamon stick (about 30 minutes).
- In the meantime, wash the meat or bacon and cook in plenty of water for about 30 minutes until the meat / bacon is tender.
- Put the fruit in a colander, collecting the broth. Remove the cinnamon stick and lemon peel.
- Keep the baked fruit warm. Crumble the sauce gingerbread and tie the broth with it.
- Slice the meat, put on the plate. The baked fruit and the potato dumplings with it and the sauce above or below it.
