Store detergent in the gift basket
A beautiful large wicker basket, which I once got as a gift basket, I have converted as a laundry storage basket, which now graces my washing machine.
This basket has the advantage for me that everything is neatly put together and that stooping and searching for detergents is eliminated. Since I need 3 different means per wash (descaling tabs, fabric softener and detergent) I save myself 9 unnecessary movements (move down to the middle, lift to WaMa, down again and grab the next remedy x 3). Now I have everything at hand and can operate my WaMa back-friendly.
