Tree decorations: sleighs made of ice stems

The sleds not only look great, they are also easy to build for children. Even boys do the crafting.

Girls like to tinker, boys are less likely to motivate. But they are always available for building. So do not speak of crafts, but only from building. That also lures the guys from the reserve. Especially when emery paper is involved. Simple ice stalks are needed for the sledges. Depending on what color you want the seat of the sled, you can paint them with thick felt pens, acrylic paint, ink or opaque white.

For a sled, two ice stalks (nature) are needed as runners. For the seat two ice stems (for example red or white) are needed, which are cut in the middle with a cutter or sharp scissors. With sandpaper, the severed wood ends are rounded and smoothed. Three of the halved stems are glued to the seat. Separate a small piece from the fourth half and glue it over the two runners as a holder for the sledge rope. Now stick a thread to hang down and finished the sledges for the Christmas tree.

This is needed:

  • ice cream sticks
  • Opaque white, edding, felt-tip pens or acrylic paint
  • Decorative thread
  • Scissors or cutter
  • glue
  • abrasive paper
