Advent arrangement longer lasting
Measures and tips to make Advent arrangements with fir branches last longer:
Soon is 1st Advent. Most of you will decorate your apartment with pine branches. Really a pity if they do not last until Christmas!
Anyway, I prefer a arrangement to an Advent wreath and cut the branches myself. So even though they are quite fresh, they will drop the needles after some time without treatment.
That's why I recommend a few helpful measures in advance:
- Cut the twigs again, as diagonally as possible, similar to the way roses are made.
- Put the branches with the cut surface in water for some time. The longer the better.
- The cut surfaces must now be sealed so that the moisture remains in the branches. I use the hot glue gun.
